REVIEW: Blades of Khorne Battletome 2019

Khorne has been a prominent player in the Age of Sigmar since the game's launch, so it's no surprise that it is the second most updated Battletome right behind the Stormcast Eternals. So what's changed in the third and most recent iteration of the angriest of Chaos armies?

Playing to Your Strengths

Almost everyone has a play style that they favor. You may not consciously be aware of it, but I bet you probably gravitate towards certain armies over others. Is this okay or is it something you should try and break out of to broaden your horizons?

REVIEW: Gaunt's Ghosts - Anarch

I have been a huge fan of the Gaunt's Ghosts series since I started in the hobby back in 2000 and this is probably one of my favorite entries in the series so far. Anarch is the culmination of every book in the series that's come before it, with some huge emotional moments and plot payoffs. What surprises are in store for the Tanith First and Only in this outing?

REVIEW: Battletome Skaven

There's something quintessentially Warhammer about the Skaven. For me they have always been one of its most unique and iconic creations and now they finally have their own Battletome for Age of Sigmar. So, what surprises does the Horned Rat have within its pages?

REVIEW: Battletome Flesh-eater Courts

Flesh-eater Courts now join the ranks of Stormcast and Khorne for having a second version of their battletome. They were one of the last battletomes to come out before the first General's Handbook, and now they get the full second edition treatment, so what's changed?

Tale of Four Warlords: Sisters of Slaughter

After venturing into some of the more esoteric choices in the Daughters of Khaine army over the past few months, it was time to add a classic staple; the Sisters of Slaughter. While these balletic psychopaths are fairly similar to the Witch Aelves in terms of painting, they do add their own little flourishes and touches.

The "Competitive" Army

How "competitive" an army is is something we hear come up a lot, but what does it really mean? Unfortunately I think it's become a bit of a buzzword lately and lost some of its context, so lets take a look at the meaning behind the phrase.

Tale of Four Warlords: Avatar, Khinerai, and Spells

Now firmly on the tale end of our Tale of Four Warlords I knew I had to kick it into gear and make sure I finished this army on time. While my plan of a unit a month was solid, I knew from the get go that there would be one month where I would have to double up and tackle a few units at once. December seemed like a good time for that so that I wasn't rushing to get things done come February and March. So this month I have the Avatar of Khaine, Khinerai Heartrenders, and an Endless Spell!

REVIEW: Battletome Gloomspite Gitz

Out of all of the Destruction factions, I think the Moonclan were one of the most deserving of their own Battletome, and one of the most anticipated and requested as well. With Gloomspite Gitz we get all of that, plus even more. So, what secrets does the gloomy dank of this book hold?

REVIEW: Black Pyramid

I have been looking forward to the follow up to Plague Garden even since I finished reading Gardus' first outing, and Black Pyramid definitely followed through on everything I hoped for. Part continuation of Gardus' story, part follow up to Ramus' from the Mortarch of Night book, Black Pyramid really delivers on all fronts, and even has a couple of surprises along the way.
