The One Where Mengel Miniatures Gets a Patreon!

Today's post is slightly on the smaller side, but is big news for Mengel Miniatures as a website. I've officially launched a Patreon page for the site! Read on to find out what that means.

Patreon has been something I've been eyeing for awhile. For those of you who are unaware, Patreon is a website that lets you support your favorite creators and artists out there directly. You pick an amount of money you would like to give, in my case on a monthly basis, and it goes directly to the creator. I'm hoping to be able to remove most of the ads from my site if I garner enough Patreon support so I can make the whole reading experience a bit less cluttered.

I've structured it so that there are 3 different levels you can support me at, $1, $5, and $10 a month. Nothing is hidden behind this paywall. It's just however much you want to commit to. If you don't feel like becoming a Patron then you'll still enjoy all the same content here every month. Obviously I hope you do decide to join, but I'm not taking anything away from what you normally enjoy here. Mengel Miniatures will continue on as it has been for the past five years, hopefully with a bit of a cleaner look.

My top supporters will get a special mention on the side of the site to the right. A credits of sorts. I know a lot of podcasts and Youtube channels that have Patreons list off their top supporters at the end of their episodes/videos, which I obviously can't do here on a blog, but hopefully this will scratch that same itch. I'm new to the whole Patreon game, so I may add in goals and rewards for different levels of support in the future, but for now it's a little bare bones.

What would people like to see from me with Patreon? What kind of rewards and goals? Let me know in the comments below.

You can find a link to my Patreon over on the right, which will be its permanent home, as well as below in today's article.

Until next time,

Tyler M.
