Graham McNeill's fantastic Mechanicus trilogy came to an end earlier this year with Gods of Mars. I'm a little late to the party, but I have finally finished the last book in the series, and what an ending. So how do all of the characters we have grown to love finish their stories?

There's no denying that the release of Age of Sigmar had a huge impact on the Warhammer community as a whole. Whole swathes of gamers left, a whole new group joined, and a flame war the likes of which hasn't been seen in our hobby since I can remember erupted online. What does all of this mean for the future of the AoS community though?

After I had finished my unit of Liberators I took a look at my Stormcast Eternals I had built to decide what was going to be next. I wanted to do a character but decided that I should have more rank and file guys first, so after flirting with the idea of the Prosecutors for a bit, I decided on my Retributors, the heavy hitters of the force.

The third book in the Realmgate Wars series is unique in that it's the first not to tie directly into a source book. This allows the authors to really explore the new setting in a way the previous books weren't allowed to. So how does the first novel untethered by an existing story fare?

I recently picked up the Chaos Dreadhold Battletome for cheap so of course I had to give it a review. So how does the very first Battletome, and only Battletome not for a specific army, hold up against its younger brothers?

If you've been following me on Twitter at all recently then you know I am no stranger to painting gold. One of the most common questions I get asked is how I paint the gold on my Stormcast Eternals, so without further ado, here is a step by step tutorial on the process!

I recently finished reading the Legacy of Caliban trilogy by Gav Thorpe and I knew I had to try and pick his brain a bit about some of the world altering events that occurred in it. Let me warn you now, this entire interview is filled with spoilers as we discuss many of the twists and turns that occur throughout the series. If you haven't read it yet and don't want to have the surprises ruined for you then turn back now, otherwise, welcome to the secrets of the inner circle.

The second installment in the audio drama series for Age of Sigmar is now out, and we continue to follow Taursus and his vampiric companion in the realm of Death. So how does it hold up compared to the first one?

On Monday you saw the gallery of my first Imperial Fist for the Horus Heresy, well as promised today I have the painting tutorial. I break it down step by step for each color, as well as how I made the base. So do you want to join the 7th legion? Well dive on in!

As soon as I got the Betrayal at Calth boxset I started thinking about what legion I would paint it as. I went through several options, World Eaters, Word Bearers, Ultramarines, even adding the models into my Astral Claws. In the end though I decided to do the 7th legion, the Imperial Fists.

As soon as I got the new boxed game I knew I wanted to try out the gameplay itself. A lot of people are understandably excited about the miniatures, which I am too, but GW also produces some great board games. So with some proxy forces and my friend Adam in tow we played through the first two scenarios.

The greatest civil war in mankind's history is finally upon us in the form of some fantastic plastic miniatures and a new board game. So does Betrayal at Calth live up to our expectations?

This guy was the second part of a commission for me and was a little out of my normal repertoire being non Warhammer. While I was a little unsure of it at first, I ended up really enjoying it. I got to try a few colors and techniques I don't normally do, which is always a plus as a painter.

Ghal Maraz is the second novel in the Realmgate Wars series, and just like it's predecessor it acts as a companion pieces to a campaign book, this time The Quest for Ghal Maraz. Composed of two novellas it carries on the stories from the first book and brings them to their conclusions. So how does the second installment fare?

It's no secret that I like the Tomb Kings, and being a completionist I decided I had to have Khalida in my army as well. My wife actually got this model for me for Christmas this past year and she was pretty excited to see a cool female model for a change. I promised her I would paint Khalida soon because of that, and now she's done! One of the coolest, and most unique models in the entire Fantasy range in my opinion.

Tyler M here with a special guest article from Tyler E, the proud owner of that awesome Tyrion model that was Mini of the Week a few weeks back. After the mini got such great feedback he approached me with the idea of doing a more thorough breakdown of how he went about conceiving this commission, and the incredible amount of forethought and detail he put into the model before Javier González even started working on it.

The Endless Deserts have been rediscovered after the Age of Chaos and now Sigmar has sent his Stormcast Eternals to the Tomb King's domain to seek an alliance. Will the desert revenants accept the offer or be a little more wary with the forces of order? Find out for yourself with the battleplan Kill the Messenger.

Gav Thorpe is the undisputed master of the Dark Angels. His novel, Angels of Darkness, is still seen as being a seminal piece of Black Library fiction, and has been reprinted at least three times that I know of. Now The Legacy of Caliban series, the trilogy spun off from that first classic tale, has finally come to an end, and it went out with a bang.

The Prisoner of the Black Sun is the first audio drama to come out from Black Library for Age of Sigmar. When I read that it was the first part of a story to deal with the Realm of Death and that it's written by Josh Reynolds I knew I had to pick it up.

Today I have a first for me, but it's something I have always wanted to do in some way or another. Since I am heavily inspired by AoS at the moment, but I'm also impatient for something official for my beloved Tomb Kings I took it upon myself, with the help of some feedback from select community members, to create a Time of War ruleset for the desert kings' domain.

The first of the new versions of the Army Books is out, the Stormcast Eternals Battletome. Being a big fan of AoS and the Stormcast is particular I knew I had to pick one up and take a look.

Today I have a special guest article by Andrea S, a local player in the Tourney scene here in Michigan. Many of you may have seen her models on Twitter or heard her and her husband on a recent episode of Garagehammer. I was amazed at the speed and quality that she was putting out Stormcast models and the enthusiasm which she was approaching AoS with. Without further ado, here is Andrea on her Stormcast Eternals/Free Peoples army.

If there is one thing that I have heard the most about Age of Sigmar it's how great the art is. These new books are packed full of it too, and I have to whole heartedly agree with its quality. I have found a lot of it around the web, but never collected in one place, until now.
Monday, September 28, 2015
The Age of Sigmar opens up a ton of new things to Fantasy players. We now have more play styles to choose form, more basing choices, and more armies. However, the number one thing in my opinion that AoS opens up to the player base is the ability to craft your own lore and background within the realms.

We are now two novels, a bunch of short stories, and a few audio dramas into the new Age of Sigmar setting. How does War Storm, the first full book in the setting, compare to the quality we have come to expect from Black Library?
Monday, September 21, 2015
I am really liking all of the new Age of Sigmar stuff, and the Stormcast Eternals in particular. I've been working on this unit for about a month now, and they are finally done. My first entry into my new Stormcast Eternal army, a humble unit of Liberators.

A new age has dawned, but not all has been lost from the Old World. As we are introduced to the Mortal Realms, familiar faces begin to appear. Some of the mightiest heroes and most diabolical villains from the Warhammer world have managed to survive the End Times and are now making their presence felt in the Age of Sigmar.

Welcome back to The Miniature Painting Masters Series where we sit down with some of our hobby's most prolific and well known painters. In this installment we talk with Sebastian Archer, multiple Golden Demon and Slayer Sword winner, creator of Twisted Miniatures and sculptor extraordinaire.

Last week I got a chance to play my first scenario from the Age of Sigmar books and it was a blast! My friend had built up his Khorne forces from the starter set and added a Deathbringer and Bloodthirster to his forces. With such a large monster I knew what scenario we had to play right away, Kill the Beast.

When Age of Sigmar launched back at the start of July we were promised a constantly evolving and progressing storyline, and Games Workshop is already delivering. The Quest for Ghal Maraz, the second book for AoS, and the first in the Realmgate Wars storyline has arrived, so how does it fare?
