Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every Friday I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.
Tzaangor Shaman by Aphorys on Cool Mini or Not |
The Tzaangor Shaman is a great model to start with, and this painter has done a fantastic job with them. There's no conversion work that I can tell, but the painting is top notch. Everything is crisp and smooth, with some cool Non-Metallic Metals and weapon effects. I really like the use of a sea green color on the armor, it's not something I have seen before. It runs the risk of blending in with the blue of the Tzaangor himself, but manages to stand out enough.
The coolest thing for me though is the base. It's super cool and creative what they have done with the magical bit that holds up the disc. Making it a stream of magma coming up from the ground really helps tie this guy into his base, and also sets it apart as fairly unique. A whole army done this way with the various other discs would be stellar.
Be sure to check out more views of the model on Cool Mini or Not and show the artist some love if you like it.
