Mini of the Week 7-23-21

Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every week I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.

Imagifer by werwolf on CMoN

Sometimes a model doesn't need any elaborate conversions or freehand to really make it shine. This Sisters of Battle Imagifer is one of those models. It's just such a wonderful sculpt that all you really need to do is paint it. I really like the color choices used here. The cool white of the armor really contrasts well with the red robes. It also catches your eye immediately sandwiched between the warm colors of the banner/statue and the base. I also really like how the flowers on the statue are the most vibrant part of the model. It really reinforces the saintly nature of it.

All of the painting is smooth and crisp, with the blends from blue to white on the armor standing out in particular. I also appreciate some well done true metallic metals since we see so much NMM these days. The base is nice and understated, but ties into the flowers on the statue. It also adds to the feeling of peace and tranquility, even though this Sister is probably in the middle of a battle. I can just imagine a beam of light shining down through the clouds on her.

Be sure to check it out on Cool Mini or Not to see some more views of it and show the artist some love if you like it.

Until next time,

Tyler M.
