Mini of the Week 7-17-21

Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every week I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.

Otapatl by Alessandro on Putty and Paint

Red isn't a color you see very often on Seraphon, but it looks great on this Chameleon Skink! It works for him too in the lore since they're a bit more exotic and could also be mimicking the color of that shrub near him. All of the colors are so vivid and clean on this. I also really like the limited palette. It's pretty much just red, brown, and gold, with a spot color of blue for the frog. Everything is smooth and crisp too. I think my favorite part of it are the rings around his tail. It's pretty subtle, but still stands out.

The basing is nice and subtle and really lets the model shine and stand out. The addition of the small fern helps complement the skink and adds a bit of "real"vegetation look to it. All in all, I really love how clean and bright this model is.

Be sure to check it out on Putty and Paint to see some more views of it and show the artist some love if you like it.

Until next time,

Tyler M.
