Mini of the Week 4-30-21

Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every week I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.

Horror of Tzeentch by Louise Sugden

What can I say about this amazing mini? If you can't tell what's going on in the picture, the one on the left is how it's actually painted and the one on the right is what it looks like with an inverted filter on it. Louise painted the model so that when you invert it, that's when it looks correct! The amount of planning that had to have gone into this is amazing. Not only is this a pretty outstanding technical achievement, but the paint job is ace too. When you look at it inverted everything looks smooth and crisp, and the colors are spot on.

This is something I never would have thought of doing, but it's perfect for a Tzeentch model. It twists reality back on itself. There's something very meta about it. It also retain's Louise's signature bright and colorful style. I definitely recommend checking out her socials below. Not only can you see the rest of her awesome models, but she also has a video of this one where you can see the filter go on and off to really experience the effect!

Be sure to check it out on Louise's Twitter to see some more views of it and show the artist some love if you like it. You can also follow her on her Instagram here.

Until next time,
