Mini of the Week 7-24-20

Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every Friday I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.

Noise Marine Funko Pop by Phil "hairster" Pryce

This is so cool! I've seen some custom painted Funko Pop Space Marines before, but nothing this extensively converted! He's basically had to rescuplt 75% of the model. It's such a great representation of the Noice Marine with electric guitar. I really like his color choices on this as well. It's suitably gaudy with the stripes on the helmet, but not garishly so. It all falls within the blue/purple spectrum with the red and pink standing out. He's also sculpted him standing on a pile of vintage White Dwarfs, and coolest of all, the plinth is a working bluetooth speaker! So you can really blast out the tunes while showing the model off.

Not only is it an awesome conversion, but the quality of painting is amazing as well. There are some really smooth and subtle blends on here, as well as some super crisp highlights. Just look at those eyes! All in all this is just an amazing conversion and paint job and a singularly unique 40k model.

Be sure to check it out on Putty and Paint to see some more angles and show the artist some love if you like it.

Until next time,

Tyler M.
