Mini of the Week 3-13-20

Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every Friday I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.

Shroomancer by Thomas «Skoven» on Putty and Paint
The Gobbapalooza models are definitely my favorite out of the Gloomspite line. They all just have so much character to them. The Shroomancer is the best of the bunch in my opinion. I think a lot of people agree too since he keeps popping up in painting competitions. This version of him is just wonderful. The colors are nice and saturated, really giving you that fantasy feel that Gloomspite should have. Everything is smooth and crisp as far as the paint job goes. The color scheme used is fairly standard, but the display base sets it above the rest.

The additional mushrooms surrounding him are a fantastic touch. The variety on the color schemes used on them feels true but still maintains that fantasy vibe. Of course the painted backdrop is the icing on the cake. The forest of mushrooms is great and the moon shining down on him is perfection. All around, an awesome mini-diorama for this model.

Be sure to check it out on Putty and Paint to see more views of it.

Until next time,

Tyler M.
