Mini of the Week 7/11/14

Welcome to a new weekly installment of Mengel Miniatures called the Mini of the Week. Every Friday I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.
Lets start off strong.

Tomb King by Mr. F on CMoN

Why did I pick this guy, well I'll be honest about one reason, I love Tomb Kings. You may be thinking there aren't any crazy conversions or non-metallic metals (NMMs), which is true but man is it clean and just top quality stuff. All the colors are crisp with strong clean lines and a great overall color scheme that reinforces the beige/gold feel of the Tomb Kings yet still has elements of bright color that pop and draw your eye.

Again the base is not over the top but is very strong and acts as a great framing device for the miniature while still adding to the theme. Instead of going for some out of left field scheme, or showing off with NMMs this painter just played it straight. This guy is a lord of Khemri, and you know that right away when looking at it. Sometimes it's just great seeing a miniature that is painted to a top level with out any gimmicks.

Be sure to check out more vies of it on Cool Mini or Not and show the artist some love if you like it.
Until next time,

Tyler M.

What do you think of this model?
