Mini of the Week 1-25-19

Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every Friday I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.

Telemon Heavy Dreadnought by Sergey Chasnyk on Putty and Paint
I'm a big fan of paint jobs that utilize limited pallets to such great effect. This guy is essentially black, white, purple, and pink and it looks amazing. I don't know if the model is converted at all, but the posing is very effective. The rubble on the base does a good job of setting the scene without being too distracting since the model is tall enough to tower over it. It also helps give a bit of a sense of scale to the model.

It goes without saying that everything on here is super smooth and crisp. We've got a non-metallic metal look going on alongside the incredible lighting effects. The purple and pink colors give me a strong 80's vibe, which I enjoy. It has an almost classic sense of sci-fi about it with these colors instead of the grim dark we're used to. I can imagine the dreadnought fighting through a neon lit street. Not much more I can say on this beyond that it's a stellar use of lighting and metallic effects!

Be sure to check it out more view of it on Putty and Paint and show the artist some love if you like it!

Until next time,

Tyler M.
